Providing representation to individuals and small to medium-sized businesses in the East Valley, including Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley in the areas of Bankruptcy, Business Law, Commercial Litigation, Aviation Law, Wills, Trusts and Estates.
Business Law: As an attorney experienced in myriad aspects of
business law and commercial litigation, I will help you form and
maintain a business structure to provide you maximum legal protection.
As a team, you and I will explore the best options to suit your
business' legal, tax and operational goals and, after your business
entity has been formed, I will continue to work with you to ensure that
your business always maintains the legal protection it needs to protect
your investment and hard work. Together we will ensure that your
business complies with the regulatory requirements it must follow and
review your contracts with your suppliers, employees and customers to
avoid costly disputes and mistakes.
Commercial Litigation: As a former prosecutor with extensive
trial experience and as a former member of a law firm representing
businesses and professionals, I will work diligently to
vigorously represent your business in its legal issues, whether those issues arise
from Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) transactions or non-UCC contract
law. My goal will be to resolve your disputes with vendors, customers,
contractors and competitors in an efficient and cost-effective manner, by
negotiation or trial.
Bankruptcy: Whether you or your business needs to file for Bankruptcy or you find yourself as a creditor of a person or business that has filed for Bankruptcy, contact me. In the Bankruptcy debtor arena, I provide representation to individual and business debtors petitioning for Bankruptcy under Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13. In the Bankruptcy Creditor Rights arena, I provide representation to small and medium-sized businesses seeking to challenge preference payment demands and pursue claims in adversary proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Court.
Aviation Law: Though not my full-time practice, I am a participating attorney with the Aircraft Owner's & Pilots Association (AOPA) Legal Services Plan. As a former pilot with a commercial license and instrument rating, I not only appreciate the significance of aviation in your life, but I understand the operational issues you face with ever more complex systems and airspace restrictions. And, as a pilot and commercial litigator, I can also assist your FBO and growing aerospace business in addressing its legal needs, whether those issues are in the areas of business organization and governance, bankruptcy or contract law.
Wills, Trusts & Estates: I've experienced the emotional pain and financial confusion when people we're close to pass. To help your loved ones avoid at least one painful aspect of your passing, I will review your individual circumstances with you to determine the best estate planning path to meet your needs and desires, including probate and non-probate options. Various documents that can be drafted on your behalf are Last Wills & Testatments, Living Wills, Inter Vivos Trusts, Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorney.
Conveniently located in Mesa and a short drive from Gilbert, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. I look forward to working with you!
